To start, it came in it's own tote bag, which I feel is very convenient! They have little plastic protectors on the prongs of the skewers, as a safety precaution, which is always beneficial, especially if you have little ones, or you happen to be somewhat clumsy. The colors make it easy to identify which one belongs to whom, to avoid confusion.
We used them today to make hot dogs, because we don't really have a place to roast marshmallows yet, not until we go camping. We extended them and stuck the hot dogs on them and put them on the grill, as see in the picture(s). It also makes it easy to flip the food over without going near the heat. The food didn't slide off and was easy to clean. All in all, they are great necessity for grilling dogs - when it comes down to roasting marshmallows, I will update this post!
