No fuzzy or distorted images with this Telephoto Lens!!

I have been looking forward to the telephoto lens since I ordered it. My phone doesn’t take the best pictures when I have to zoom in on whatever I am attempting to take a picture or video of. I saw the pictures on this, so I decided this will work with my phone, and I ordered it.

It came to me in a black “coffin-like” box, which seems to be made out of a hard wood, making it for easy storage. It also comes with a small gray keepsake bag to put the lens w/lens cap attached and the clip used to attach to your phone.

My phone camera is on the back top ¼ of my phone. Even with the hardcover phone case, it was simple for the clip to attach. The clip goes across the top part of my screen, but it doesn’t scratch or affect the outcome of my pictures or videos. I saw what I was looking at with and without the lens attached, and it was a big difference. It brought the image closer without having to zoom and get a distorted image.

I have used this at an air and car show, and for taking pictures of everyday life – makes picture taking easier and actually look forward to taking photos again. Just so I don’t miss anything, I keep the keepsake bag with lens/clip inside, in my purse. You never know when you may need it, and it is a quick slip on.

Adjusting the lens to your phone lens may take a while to get used to, but once you get the swing of it, you’ll be impressed!

1st Fruit Diffuser Bottle

I have seen this advertised at the store or see them when I go to work out. I was skeptical on them because I didn’t like the idea of fruit just floating around your water. I mean I have had lemon in tea and water, but this was different, in my opinion.

I got this and I noticed that the size of it was impressive – 32 oz, so you can really get your natural fruit water fix on. The metal ring that locks the lid into place. I even tested it had rolled it around, and shook it upside down – it didn’t leak nor did the lock come off. The infused basket has the slits that makes it easy for water to pass through the middle, and they aren’t too big for your fruit to come out of and just float around.

I find it easy to clean – it is a simple take apart wash, rinse and dry in the drain. I don’t have a dishwasher, so I don’t know how that idea would work. I have used the basket only with fresh cubed peaches, which tastes delicious.

The fitted sleeve seems to fit just fine – it does have the opening for the grip on the side, so it won’t slip on your hand. The bottle isn’t double insulated, which is more than likely why they come supplied with the sleeve.

Great Fish De-stresser!

I have a 50-gallon aquarium and I change out the water once a month and refill it when it goes down about an inch or so, which is about once a week. For some reason, water tends to evaporate quick here, mainly because I guess I live in Arizona. I do have skittish fish, so when I change or fill the water, they tend to not eat for a while.

I live in a town that is known for not having the best water – a lot of people used bottled water or tend to have water filtration. Being a 50-gallon tank, that would be quite a bit of bottled water, and I can’t afford the water filtration. I saw this advertised, and I liked the fact that it wasn’t a fizzy tablet or an add-in that seems to look filmy when it goes in.

I also like the fact that it replaces my fishes slime coats, reduces stress, and removes the chemical that is found in our water. It is a small bottle – it is 1 capful per 2 gallons, and I have a 50-gallon tank, (50/2 = 25 capfuls). By the time I was done, only had about a ¼ of a bottle left.

I noticed that my fish ate shortly after I changed out my water and added the 25 capfuls. I feel better knowing that not only does it make the water safe, but helps my fish in the process.

Simple peel & stick aquarium thermometer!

I already had a digital thermometer for my aquarium, and I really like it. I decided, however, that in case that it should get faulty, I need a backup, a “second in command” so to speak. I got this because I wanted a thermometer that was quick and simple, and this looked like it could do the trick.

When I got this, it was a simple set-up: peel the paper backing to expose the adhesive, and place it where you want on your tank. I set mine up on the opposite side of my digital thermometer, to see if each one would show the same temperature. I am not too familiar with Celsius, which is the bolder number of the two. Luckily, there is Fahrenheit on it, or I would have to learn Celsius! It didn’t take long at all to see that this quickly highlighted the same temp as the digital.

The numbers are very easy and bold enough to read from a short distance, but the color that highlights the temp could be a little brighter – at least for my liking. I do like that it isn’t a large strip, but short and sweet at 5”. It has been on my tank for almost a week, and it hasn’t varied on the temperature or lost its adhesive. All in all, this has earned its keep here.

Turn any room into a Sound Studio!

During the past few months, our teenage son is slowly transforming his room to that of a gamer, which means he’ll be playing and talking with his friends on his computer. I ordered the Acoustic Pads because he said when he talks, his friends said that his voice was echoing and they were having difficulty hearing him.

When these arrived, he was excited to see them and decided to set them up in his room. It was a pack of 12, so he made them into a design on the wall behind his computer desk. We didn’t want to use glue, which is usually what is recommended in this case. However, we didn’t want to damage the paint, and we will be moving in a couple of years, and he didn’t want to have to tear them off and ruin them – so he nailed them.

The panels are made of foam and come in a pack of 12, are 1” by 12” x 12”, so a square, and have crisscross patterns on each. These helped dampen the noise coming out of his room, and eventually, will look into getting more, - he said it makes his room look more “gamer-ish”!

What I like about these is it gives a part of his wall the look of a recording booth, very professional looking. He also noticed that his friends have yet to say anything about the reverb or echo tones that he used to have, so I take it that they are doing their job.

Add some color to your yard!

If I said it once, I have said it numerous times – I love solar lights! The ones I had before these are black tubing with an iridescent glow to them. I wanted something that was colorful and would stand out from the others that are on my block.

What I like about these is they are multi-colored, (red, blue, green, and yellow). The yellow ones look more of a clear, having no color, unless you look really hard. The tubing for these is delicate. I received one that was somewhat bent on one of the ends. Very easy to fix, but not very sturdy. My dog has managed to knock a couple down, and one time on of the lights actually fell off. Not really a big issue, though. All I did was stick whichever one he knocked over back onto the stake, and/or attach the light fixture back on the tubing.

The lighting, once it gets dark, doesn’t really illuminate quite as brightly as my other ones, but these are more of a decorative light, which is fine to me, because it does just what I need it to do – add color to my yard. I have had my sprinkler on, obviously, because I have to water, and it doesn’t affect their performance and water doesn’t get into the fixture.

All I all, these are a good decorative solar lights! Oh, and don’t forget, like I almost did – to turn each one on first!

Great for coffee drinkers!

We are coffee drinkers in this house. We even have a machine that uses the cups, to make life simpler for different tastes. I saw this and thought it would be perfect to either use around the house or to take in my truck.

When I got it, I noticed that the lid for it was somewhat cracked on the circumference. I notified, and without issue, I was sent another one a couple of days later. There was nothing wrong with the tumbler itself, just the lid, but the seller sent new tumbler/lid. Anyways, I like the fact that it is double-walled, to make the whole ‘keep hot things hot and cold things cold” deal good to go. It holds 20 oz., so you can get your coffee on, or whatever you are in the mood for. My son used it yesterday morning and noticed it kept his coffee hot (without the lid), for almost 1.5 hours before it started to become lukewarm.

I chose to test a cold drink with lots of ice (I love sometimes just ice). I noticed that the ice didn’t really start to melt rapidly, but rather slowly, and it took a few hours for the ice to fully melt. Obviously, it is not microwave safe, so no chance of that happening. I have hard water here, so when I wash it, I have to wipe it dry, or else it leaves water spots.

Vintage Lantern Effect!!

I am somewhat of a solar light fanatic. Whenever I see the chance to purchase inexpensive lights for my yard, I usually end up getting it. This one was no exception.

What I liked about this one was the fact that it had the “lantern” appeal. It also came with instructions on how to mount it to your house, so it can be used as a porch-light, or on a patio. It also comes with the traditional stake for you to post into the ground (normal use), or to do what I did. I used one of the attachments for the top of it that had a loop, and hung it on a curved post in my yard. It now just sits and lightly swings and when it comes time for it to come on, without fail, it’s on!

It isn’t the brightest of lights, but it isn’t dim either. I like the fact also that it has more than it doesn’t have 1, but 4 solar panel to charge. That being said, It didn’t take long for this to charge at all. It arrived here about mid-afternoon, set it up, and it was glowing shortly after sunset. Comes with easy to read instructions and all the necessary attachments to suit your needs.

If I had use for another one, I would get one, because it is a nice addition to my collection.

Saves me counter space!!

I have a small and shallow double sink. I have bought ones from discount stores in hopes that it looks like it may fit in one of the sides instead of on my counter – nope! It’s either too long or too wide, so it ends up always being on my counter, taking up what little counter space I have near the sink. I saw this and the word “compact” caught my eye. I liked the color and the way it looked online, plus if it didn’t fit in my sink, it wouldn’t take that much room on my counter.

When I got it, I must say I was impressed with the box it came in. The ones at the store is just the rack itself and you toss in the cart. This had a nice, sturdy box it came in. There is some assembly required, but all you have to do is cut the ties attached to the rack, place the rack in the tub, attached the legs, attach the flatware bin on the inside, and attach the drain diverter. All I needed was a Phillips screwdriver to attach that, and I was set. It set in my sink beautifully!! I was so pleased! This was the first dish rack ever that actually fit in my sink!

The rack that the dishes set into isn’t plastic, but metal – big plus, especially for pot, pans, and heavy dishes. In my case, I did remove the legs and the drain attachment, so it would sit better in my sink. It fit with the legs too, but it was a little too tall for my liking! I am very impressed with this and I am glad I purchased it!

No more password resets!

What I like about Untapped Mind is it is an all-natural product. I have, in the past few years, have realized I lose focus and become somewhat fatigued during the day, when all I was doing was light housework. Now, there are times I get irritable when I try to concentrate on a project I am working on or the current task at hand. I also have a heck of a time trying to remember passwords on my phone and on my computer and have to reset them on a monthly basis.

I started taking this and I believe that within a few days I noticed that I was able to motivate myself. My kids noticed that I wasn’t cranky when I started my day and I was able to focus on one thing. Even when I was doing the multi-task thing, I wasn’t getting fatigued. I am enjoying the fact that I was able to remember my email password while I was at the library a couple of days ago, and not have to reset it…again.

This is not a wonder supplement by any means, it is just made to help you stay on track and I guess makes up for what your body seems to be lacking in your everyday lifestyle, so to speak. Unlike an energy pill, these don’t give me the jitters or make me very anxious or make you “crash” when it wears out. I have to say though, the size of the capsules is a bit of the big side, so be sure to take them with plenty of water.

Professional Can Opener w/bottle opener!!

What I like about this is the fact that it is not your cheap, ordinary can-opener that you can purchase for a couple of dollars at the store, that you really have to work at to even puncture the can. The handle is sturdy and has a good rotating ratio per turn of handle.

I find that the orange soft grip makes it easier to hold on to (squeeze), when you have to crank it - doesn't leave marks in the palm of your hand like a pure metal or plastic coated handle. This handle won't slip from your hand, even if your hand is wet.

The bottle opener has opened anything from a 2-liter of soda to a bottle of water for me. Again, the thickness of this opener makes it easier for someone like my daughter, who has a medical condition, and doesn't have much strength, to open her drinks, same with the can opener. The only thing I wish was it was made for left-handed people - my son and I are lefties. No complaints, though!

All-Natural, Kid Safe Bug Repellent Lotion !!

First off, I love the way this is packaged – tall, slender see-through bottle, that is conveniently sized and compact enough to throw into a picnic or camping bag and go! I rubbed some on my arms and noticed it to be a little tacky unless you really rub it in. When it was all rubbed in, the feeling it leaves on your skin isn’t greasy or oily at all. It dries smooth and leave a pleasant smell, that isn’t overpowering and almost relaxing, I guess you could say. The scent is a blend of tea tree oil and lemon eucalyptus oils, so again, very pleasant. I am not a big fan of the aerosol bug repellents, because it usually leaves a greasy feeling and then there’s the over-spray, which can get on other people, food, clothes, etc. They also tend to have a unpleasant aroma, with instead of repelling, it attracts.

I went outside at my sister’s house with this on my arms during a BBQ a couple of days ago, and waiting for the magic to happen: waited for “bugs”. My husband was next to me, without the lotion on, and was complaining about the mosquitoes that were landing or flying around him. I can honestly say that they were avoiding me, and I sat there laughing while he just stared at me. Since it is all natural, it is safe for babies and children, so I applied some to my 4-year-old niece – she said she smelled like her mom’s bubble bath.

The lotion is all natural and organic ingredients with no DEET. It is kid safe and is also non-toxic.

Really does block out the light - Bug Eyed Zorro :)

I have 2 windows in my bedroom, and every morning during this season, the sunrise is around 530 in the morning. This sun creeping through the blinds made me at a loss for sleep. I needed a sleep mask, and saw this one available to purchase. I liked the black, cause I am not really into pink or blue so much. Also with black, it's a unisex color and that means my husband could also use it. The material is smooth, and it does not scratch or irritate my face at all.

I like the Velcro adjustable straps, so obviously adjust to fit to whatever your head size is. What I really enjoy about this mask as opposed to others, is the slot for your nose. This made it harder for light from the television my husband was watching to peek through the bottom. Also, it makes it fit firmer to your eye area. During the night, I did find it kind of an inconvenience, especially being a side-sleeper. My pillow kept pushing the mask away from my face. I had to make slight adjustments, and it went back into place, with really wasn't a big deal.

I woke up when my alarm went off, and not nature's alarm in my window. The mask prevented any light from my eyes and I didn't realize how effective they were until I took it off, and saw how bright it was. I am going to enjoy this mask for future use, and may be purchasing a couple more for family members as gifts!

Turned my sneakers into slip-ons!

I have a heel spur in my left foot, so I wear a compression sock, and I wear my shoes so I can help support it. Therefore, I am usually I my shoes during waking hours. I saw these and I figured this would be easier to use than to constantly tying/untying my tennis shoes. I ordered these and patiently waited for them to arrive.

They came in a small, sealed bag. They are really self-explanatory, but thankfully, manual instructions were provided. I took out my old laces, and began to put this in. If you have shoes with eyelets like mine, it can be tedious to get the ends through them. I had to use tweezers to put them in, but I don’t think this is a problem!

Once I got them in, I put the laces through the push tabs and cut the lace to the end of where you start to put the laces in on a shoe. I then put the lace protector on the end and snapped in on.

The laces have elastic in them, which makes it easy to for me to slip on/off my shoes. You loosen the tab to put them on, and tighten when you have them on. Walking around, I forget they are even on. I don’t miss having to tie/untie, tripping when they come untied, or sliding off. I will be getting these for my kids’ shoes has well. It makes shoe wearing that much simpler!

Great for my combination skin!!

At first, the name threw me off. It has the word “clay” in it, so I was thinking, it was somewhat of a facial peel. I was looking forward to this wash, because I have combination skin, and my skin is starting to show its age – which I don’t mind, but doesn’t mean I won’t care for it!

I found out that you can use this one of two ways, well, at least the ways I use it. One method, is to 1st wet your face, use one pump of wash, lather/rub your face. Then when done, obviously, rinse and pat dry. The other method is get 1 pump in your hand, start the water, get a little water in your hands and start scrubbing your face, and then rinse, and pat dry again.

One pump, I have found is plenty, it goes a long way. I have use it in the morning and at bedtime, and I have found it leaves my face smooth and does not dry it out, like others I have had. The wash has a pleasant smell, not overpowering or potent. I also found out, because I was messing around, I accidentally opened my eyes, it didn’t sting or burn them.

That is an added plus, especially for someone like me who has a tendency to open my eyes when washing face. I have noticed my face evening it tone, and it’s not as oily and dry anymore! I will continue to use this, because I am anxious to see what prolonged usage results will be.

Watercolor Pencils that can be used wet/dry

Being a collector of art pencils/pens/markers, I saw these as something different. I have yet to have watercolor pencils before and was anxious to see what it was all about. First off, I liked all the colors that came in the pack – 48 colors which means 48 different things to color! The color “lead” so to speak, is very gentle, so the slightest push, for instance, if you want to color heavy with one color, it may break easily.

I had the happen with a couple of colors; but I guess that is why they give you a free compact pencil sharpener located underneath the bottom flap.

One small issue I believe I found was the fact that they came in a package similar to that of a crayon box. Anyone that has used crayons knows that it can be a downright pain to get them out when they are packed in a single row. I may purchase a clear tote at the store to transfer them into for easy handling. Other than that, these work out great.

They can be used as a regular pencil or can be used with water added to the color afterwards. I didn’t have a paintbrush, so I used a cotton swab, and it gave it a nice blended effect.

Glitter for the win!

I already have a set of gel pens, but I wanted to try these pens, because they added a touch of glitter to your artwork. I have a color art book that has various pictures, and I chose an exotic flower to demonstrate its colorfulness. They really are animated and the colors aren’t overwhelming, but a nice change of pace.

I found myself using these pens for more than just coloring! The other day, I was one the phone with a lengthy conversation with someone, and these were nearby. I had a piece of paper near me too, so I took the pens and started to “doodle”! Even while scratching your name done, it makes it look important!! I drew just about anything and didn’t realize what all I did till I hung up the phone. I am a left-handed person, so I’ll admit there were some small streaks, but that was only when I used them to color or write on anything more than an ½” area. I’m a lefty, it happens with no matter what I use, it’s a curse.

I do like the fact that they come with 1 refill for each color, cause the ink does tend to go quicker when you are using them to color, instead of drawing or writing. I ordered these because I am an art pencil/pen/marker junkie, and I love the variety each color brings to life my work – even my family uses them for their books as well!

Great for Egg Salads!!

 Multipurpose grater/slicer/dicer

You can do anything from grate cheese to cutting up your usual salad veggies – lettuce, onion, cucumber, tomato, carrots. All I had to do was change the interchangeable cutting trays in the lid, set it on top of the container it came with, or you can even set it on top of a bowl or another container you are using. The trays are simple to change – pop out, snap in!

I happen to use it for the first time to cut boiled eggs for an egg salad. I felt daring, so I set the entire boiled egg, yellow and all, on its side, with the one with medium sized squares, and pushed the handle down. I was impressed. Yes, there was a little yellow on the blades left, but what do you expect, yolk is mushy anyways! I did this with all the eggs.

I attempted to use the smaller squares for one eggs, and it just happened to make a big mess. It spread out throughout the squares, and hardly anything went through. I know now to cut the egg before using it with that tray!

The peeler is okay – just your average, ordinary, everyday, inexpensive “at least I have a peeler” peeler.

Be prepared to have fun washing some of the trays – unless you feel like scrubbing with a brush every little square for minutes on end, I would get a small basin, fill it with soapy water, and let them soak for a little bit. I don’t own a dishwasher, so I let mine air dry in the dish rack.

Allergy medicine that works at night!

This syrup comes with a small measuring spoon, that you only take one of. The initial taste took me a little by surprise: it isn't bad, but it will make you fish face. It is mainly honey based and as natural ingredients, which I like. I noticed that I have woken up and not been groggy on the nights I take it. This is a nice change from the OTC nighttime cold medicines that are on the market. The taste is something that you have to get used to – but the medicine works.

I normally have trouble finding a medicine that works for my allergies when nighttime rolls around, not to mention, one that works well enough to keep me asleep and doesn't taste awful. I take allergy meds, but they do not really aid me in helping me sleep cause when I lay down, I tend to get sniffles and congestion. Comes in a small convenient, travel-sized plastic bottle as well.
