Turn any room into a Sound Studio!

During the past few months, our teenage son is slowly transforming his room to that of a gamer, which means he’ll be playing and talking with his friends on his computer. I ordered the Acoustic Pads because he said when he talks, his friends said that his voice was echoing and they were having difficulty hearing him.

When these arrived, he was excited to see them and decided to set them up in his room. It was a pack of 12, so he made them into a design on the wall behind his computer desk. We didn’t want to use glue, which is usually what is recommended in this case. However, we didn’t want to damage the paint, and we will be moving in a couple of years, and he didn’t want to have to tear them off and ruin them – so he nailed them.

The panels are made of foam and come in a pack of 12, are 1” by 12” x 12”, so a square, and have crisscross patterns on each. These helped dampen the noise coming out of his room, and eventually, will look into getting more, - he said it makes his room look more “gamer-ish”!

What I like about these is it gives a part of his wall the look of a recording booth, very professional looking. He also noticed that his friends have yet to say anything about the reverb or echo tones that he used to have, so I take it that they are doing their job.
