First off, I love the way this is packaged – tall, slender see-through bottle, that is conveniently sized and compact enough to throw into a picnic or camping bag and go! I rubbed some on my arms and noticed it to be a little tacky unless you really rub it in. When it was all rubbed in, the feeling it leaves on your skin isn’t greasy or oily at all. It dries smooth and leave a pleasant smell, that isn’t overpowering and almost relaxing, I guess you could say. The scent is a blend of tea tree oil and lemon eucalyptus oils, so again, very pleasant. I am not a big fan of the aerosol bug repellents, because it usually leaves a greasy feeling and then there’s the over-spray, which can get on other people, food, clothes, etc. They also tend to have a unpleasant aroma, with instead of repelling, it attracts.
I went outside at my sister’s house with this on my arms during a BBQ a couple of days ago, and waiting for the magic to happen: waited for “bugs”. My husband was next to me, without the lotion on, and was complaining about the mosquitoes that were landing or flying around him. I can honestly say that they were avoiding me, and I sat there laughing while he just stared at me. Since it is all natural, it is safe for babies and children, so I applied some to my 4-year-old niece – she said she smelled like her mom’s bubble bath.
The lotion is all natural and organic ingredients with no DEET. It is kid safe and is also non-toxic.
