Transformed from choker to bracelet!

I am not a big fan of jewelry, really never have been. The only jewelry I own is my wedding set, a necklace and a bracelet here and there, and a handful of post earrings. I was interested in something that would go with anything I wore. However, I do wear a lot of T-shirts and jeans; my wardrobe doesn’t involve a night life!

I got this tree choker to see what it would be like to go with some of my outfits. The choker, which is made of a leather strip, is 60” (5 ft.) long. On each end there is a small tree pendant secured by a silver bead attached to the leather. Depending on how you wear them, you actually have 30” to work with (fold in half), in order to get the desired effect. I tried just that, and I was always seeming to come up short on my neck, when I went to make the loop around.

Apparently, you are supposed to wrap it around your neck twice and loop through. I would end up literally choking myself. I suppose my neck is a little too wide for it to be worn as a choker. So I tried something else.

I still did the loop to where it was 30”, and I started wrapping it around my right wrist, (I’m left handed), and was able to do the loop just fine. So, what started out as being a choker, doubled itself to be my new wrap bracelet. Not all was lost – if you want to do both with it, you can take turns accessorizing!
