We have two fresh-water aquariums and I am always curious if the water is the right level for them. One tank has 2 Oscars and a Pleco, and the other has a variety of angelfish, 3 Plecos, and a variety of other fish. I clean the water on the regular basis and the filters once a month. I also had water conditioner to make the tap water safe for them. I just wasn’t sure I was doing what was good for them.

It also comes with its own batteries that are located in the top of the meter, and are well protected – it takes a little work, but you can get the cap off where they are located.
I tested the meter on the angelfish aquarium. What I did was take off the bottom black cover and dip the meter and go right to the immersion level indicated on the meter case. I turned it on first, and after I calibrated it, then it went into the water. I now know the water quality of my fish, which is a good thing, because I don’t want anything happening to them!
